This is a weird one - When I go to the 'Map Digital Channels' screen I can get video and audio in the preview. Smile I set my channels, then go into either pvrx2.exe or EWA, start a recording, and it will won't work. Sad
Well, I should say that it creates the file, but I'm unable to play it back with anything. PVRx2 just has a black screen, VLC doesn't even open a video window. Zoom throws an "unspecified error".

I get this same behavior with 2 different mdapi plugins, so I'm thinking (I could be wrong) it's not the plugins. I've tried multiple plugin versions, mdapifilter.ax versions, the latest being 2.1 that Heerfort posted. I also installed the gbpvr fix.

The logs don't really have obvious errors, but I'll post them anyway. I just have the sneaky suspicion that I'm overlooking something obvious here. Any thoughts?

In case you need it: Twinhan 1025, 1.2.3.8 Twinhan BDA Drivers, GBPVR 1.2.13, XP Pro SP2. Enable Multidec Support and Reuse MDAPI filter are both checked, using TX mux.

Hi Flyswatta,

Could you also attache the MDAPIFilter.log file ?. When using 2.1 it generates a file in the MDPlugins folder and also with 2.1 it's not needed to check the Reuse MDAPI.

I've tried it with Reuse checked and Unchecked. I'll uncheck it since it's not needed.

Mdapi log attached.

Thanks!

hi flyswatta,

There wasen't any usefull in the logs so I tried installing GBPVR myself and gave it a go. When the record process gets triggered the MDAPIFilter isen't loaded at all so therefore the recording is scrambled... and useless. I think it's something SUB should look into when he fixes the MDAPI Multi tuner thing.

Cheers,
Heerfordt.

You were able to reproduce the problem?!? Wow, what luck I'm having on this. I figured it'd be one of those things that only affects me...

Sure - I'll have to wait until I get home from work - it'll be about 3 or 4 hours depending on traffic. The logs should also be in my original post to this thread, but they're probably cluttered up with all of my testing attempts Wink

Ah, this will be your problem. Try running reregisterfilters.bat. If you're on Vista, you'll need to run this from a command prompt started as administrator.
