I have GBPVR setup (V1.2.13) and running wonderfully. I am using a PVR500 card, and have setup two capture sources, one for each hardware chip on the PVR500. However when I seek to record two programs at the same time I get a conflict.

I have setup all the channels on each capture source. Thus I have ABC #1 for capture source 1 and ABC #2 (same channel, but setup on the second hardware chip) etc. I want to record a program on Seven #1 and at the same time record a program on ABC #2. To my understanding this should work and use the two hardware chips on the PVR500.

What am I doing wrong?

when you added the tuners
one should be pvr500 capture device number#1
the other should be pvr500 with fm tuner capture device number #2
make sure you tick the box only show devices on this machine and you should get pvr500,pvr500 with fm tuner

when you add your channels you dont need to give them differnt names or number if they are the same frequency
gbovr will sort out which one is available to use then when you select the next program it will use the next available tuner

Thanks for the reply. I do not have an EPG setup and so have been scheduling manual recordings. In this case will GBPVR also select the next available hardware chip? I look forward to your reply.

Channels that a manually added are treated as unique. ie, only associated with that one capture source, so the app isnt able to use the capture source for recording this channel.

You're best to use a real EPG, then the app will know they're same channel, and know it can use both capture sources for these channels.

Thanks guys, Next step: real EPG. I am in Sydney and am signed up with OzTivo and used them for a couple of years. They then changed their data format and I have not got it going since. Let me have another look at it and I may come back with questions. Thanks again.

When you do get your guide data, make sure you delete and recreate your capture sources rather than just changing the epg source of your existing capture sources.

Thanks guys; tick another one off. EPG is up and running. GBPVR is deciding which hardware chips to use to record the channels magically in the background. I can record two programs at once! So PVR is all working perfectly. WAF is high so I could not be happier. Smile
