LiveTV not working for me

Hi everyone I'm new to this, and I have been trying to get this program to work (GB-PVR) I don't know what I have to do, or what the settings should be, anyone live in NZ that could help me with there settings? I'm wanting to find out how I get Free to View Channels and normal channels, my TV Tuner Card I am using is Hauppauge WinTV HVR-1200, when checking in device manager it is called "Hauppauge WinTV HVR-1200 Model 71xxx, Hybrid DVB-T" can someone please help me, and I have tried reading all about the support info on Hauppauges page but it has been no help, thanks gents & ladies.

Have you set up a digital capture source for this device? If so, what happened when you hit the 'Map digital channels to epg channels' button? It should have scanned for and found your tv channels.

I go to configure digital source, and it wants me to pick my card, the only problem my card is not on the list, and when I select "Only show devices detected on my machine" it has a different Model of my card, for example shows up "Haupaugge OEM 885, Haupaugge HVR-1800MCE (ATSC), Haupaugge HVR-1800MCE (QAM), Haupaugge HVR-1250MCE (ATSC), Haupaugge HVR-1250MCE (QAM) What card Am I suppose to select? I also get the TV Guide open, it only shows channels and times, but no info like what programmes playing etc just gaps & blanks, I also used DJKXML to generate my Tvguide.xml, I am unsure of what does what any help would be greatful

Hmm, ok.

I havnt specifically come across an HVR-1200 before, so I guess we'll need to add an entry to the bda.ini file this card. Can you run the filtercheck.exe form the gbpvr directory, then zip and attach the filtercheck.log that gets created? I'll let you know what needs to be added.

Awesome my card shows up now, but I am still unsure of what settings I still need done, since doing some steps I am now able to view the TVGUIDE as it should be, I can see the channel numbers and icons as well as Whats on TV, still no LiveTV tho, I click on a program and get a blank picture, am I suppose to use the tuner assistant? what do I need to do now?

You dont need to worry about the Tuning Assistant - thats only for analog devices, but this device is only usable for DVB-T in GB-PVR.

Its probably related to your decoders. What H.264 and HE-AAC decoders do you have selected on the playback tab? Best to not leave them on the 'system default' setting. Most people use the Cyberlink H.264 decoder and the Monogram AAC decoder.

On the Digital Source Config, what should I have selected in "Region/Transmitter"? I haven't selected one, and can I still view digital channels without a Dish???? I have a cable that I use which can pickup sky and telstra channels, some are scrammbled and some I can see, I've watched sky 1 movies before and discovery, thats why I believe I have the right equipment, so is it still worth carrying on? also I have all decoders H.264 and HE-AAC on System Default, how do I install other ones like you suggested? man I bet i'm a heap of work on your hands huh?
