The HVR-1200 is only usable in GB-PVR for receiving DVB-T channels (ie Freeview DVB-T), so it needs to plugged into a UHF aerial pointing towards your local transmitter that is transmitting these channels. You need to select that "Region/Transmitter" in that screen. For example, I get my DVB-T channels from Mt KauKau, so that is the transmitter I select.

It means you've either not got a good signal, or you're selected the wrong transmitter (cause it to scan the wrong frequencies).

I selected Wellington (In-Fill) as I am based in Wellington, could you give me a number of tests to try to find out what could be my problem? I watch analog tv shows on Nero Home, but can't seem to get them on this, when I use the TV Assistant Tuner I can get Sky Movies 1 clear?

I also only get 3 channels or frequencies to search, does that sound right when its scanning?

You could maybe try the Hauppauge scan utility: http://www.hauppauge.co.uk/board/showthread.php?p=53462 (select the card, then option 5)

Correct, this device you've bought lacks the required hardware MPEG2 encoder that GB-PVR needs for live tv.
