For me the strength of ML2, and hence of GBPVR, is that it gives me in essence user configurable multi-hierarchical selection/sorting. As a classical music listener I am very happy with the facitlity to view track by composer/album, or composer/artist etc. I did not find that so well organised in other products. But may be I did not search good enough. And the community/forum, near perfection!

Not to go offtopic but I would welcome an option to read .CUE files.

It very well be possible for the PCH to read CD iso files so the .cue file might not be necessary, unless of course pz1 wants to listen to Wagner's Ring Cycle recorded live.

Keeping off topic for a minute - there are two definitions of a cue file a pointer to an ISO, and a pointer to an individual track inside a large MP3 kind or like a reverse playlist. ML2 already supports the latter version of CUE file.

Back on topic, aren't those cue files already included when I wrote about ML2 playlist play?

Disadvantage of GB-PVR is the quite obvious missing CD-player...can't be that hard to update the existing plugin. Or at least put in the "obsolete plguins" section.

Am i the only one missing a CD-player?!

All i want is pause, play, eject, skip fw, skip bw, stop.

I second your statement about the missing CD player. I use the CD ripper plugin to play CD's. But is has some weird behavior.

But a real advantage of GBPVR is that you can write your own plugin that can switch your amplifier to the right stereo/surround mode and you TV to the right zoom mode, all depending on the things you do with GBPVR so you do not need many remote control's
