Another small issue:

My EPG updates just fine if I do it through the config program and it also seems to behave at 4am when I have it scheduled to run.

However, if I run the EPG update from the Tray application, it doesn't seem to work. It will startup and download from Zap2it, then the dialog box will say "processing zap2it listings" but will fail soon after with the error message "Your EPG source does not appear to be configured correctly. Please check the EPG source settings and try again". GBPVRTray.exe will then sit idle consuming 100MB of memory/swap until i close and relaunch it.

As far as I can tell my EPG source is fine, and like i said, it works great if i run Update EPG from within Config.exe.

I don't use this much (and don't intend to) but thought I'd report it.

New version killing remote??

Every thing was working fine.  The new version has some cool features, so I decided to install the new version over the top of the previous version.  Install when fine, no errors.

I rebooted the PC, and found the remote not working.

I decided to do a system wipe to fix a xp license issue.

Reinstalled XPsp2, .net + sp1,  new PVR250 drivers (from website), IR program (from website), ffdshow, latest gbpvr.

Remote still dead, almost.  Pressing the menu button causes the bottom of the screen to blink for an instant.  the * button, gives some diaglog box about a missing program, vtplus.exe application not found, the GO button starts the IR program (no wintv programs installed)

Where can I look at what has happened?  Is this some bug or are there missing files with the new package?

Thanks for an awesome program!!  I know these issues can be ironed out.

Just click the 'fix hauppauge remote settings' button in the config app.

[b Wrote:Quote[/b] ]- Now correctly identifying conflicts with multiple capture sources on the one device.
Just thought I'd let you know this still doesn't seem quite right - I have two capture sources for the one device (to let me get consistent TV listings), and I still have the same problem with this release as with the previous one - if a recording of a program on one source is immediately followed by a recording on the second, the second one fails, with the applicable gbpvrrecordingservice message being:
[b Wrote:Quote[/b] ]20:29:02.264 VERBOSE ConnectPins: 'Audio Decoder Out' to 'Analog Audio In'
20:29:04.671 VERBOSE ConnectPins failed!
20:29:04.671 ERROR Failed to connect pinNameCrossbarAudioDecoderOut to pinNameCaptureAnalogAudioIn
I'll do some more testing on this, then post it in the support forum.

cheers, tieke.

The update is great. However like a few others I do not get any sound when starting up Live TV. If I change channels sound appears OK. Using PVR350 and 35 key remote.

I had a problem when installing 0.91
for some reason it emptied my database

I copied back the .mdb file I had copied before doing the upgrade and everything seems fine, but is there any changes within the database I need to do by hand

Just thought I'd add to the 'Live TV - no sound' issue. I've tried everything now, I think (re-installed hauppauge drivers, clean install of GBPVR). I even re-installed my Soundcard drivers (SoundBlaster Live!Wink in case that was the trouble. No matter what I do, I cannnot get ANY sound from Live TV in preview mode, even after changing channels.

Mine is a 250 card.

I'll just have to stick with the 'use preview' switched off for the time being - it doesn't hurt.

[b Wrote:Quote[/b] ]gary, just curious, when you use FFDSHOW with GBPVR, do you have OSD enabled within FFDSHOW (I assume to test to see if it works)?  I've found I'd get the same problem as you, but if I took out OSD and just stuck to Blur&NR, it would work (not that I noticed much of a difference on my Standard TV so I took off FFDSHOW).

Nope...just using the default settings that come with FFDSHOW.

On the USB-UIRT settings button not being available in the DVD & Remotes tab in the Config app......I no longer have the USBUIRT-remote.ini file that was there in the last version that stored the information when I would 'train' the USB-UIRT for the remote.  It just seems to have disappeared with this version.

Hi!

I'm having some trouble with Live-TV after installing the 0.91 version. I did an uninstall first of the old version. I get an error dialog "Error: Object reference not set to an instance of an object" when I click on "Live TV", and Live TV won't work (of course). I have a Leadtek WinFast PVR200 card. Live TV worked fine with 0.9010, but now even a clean reinstall of 0.9010 won't make Live TV work...

This is the gbpvr.exe-native.log:
