I have followed all the various support items on these forums, but i'm stuck at the first hurdle.

UAC is off. the Visual C++ runtime is installed.

I tried running as the administrator account as suggested elsewhere.

I run the msi and it quits almost immediately.

Fatal error - Installer ended prematurely.

Attached is the log output from the msi.

The service is not listed, and i can't find any evidence that files have ever been copied anywhere!

This is very frustrating as you can imagine!

I have just registered to the forum as I was about to start the exact same post. This is my first attempt with GBPVR and I am also receiving the exact same error:

Installation ended prematurely because of an error.

Same setup as above, vista ultimate SP1. Tried every trick under the sun except the right one obviously Smile

i'm not even getting any files copied under programs i'm afraid. There is no service created.

Really at a loss; hope my log helps somewhat.

lol, its so easy its funny. Here is the how to install on vista because vista is stoooopid. It has been menioned in other posts but I took vista admin priveleges for granted as I am logged in as admin.

Basically open up cmd and then type:

msiexec /aPATH\GBPVR10213.msi

Replacing PATH with your path to the install dload.

For example mine reads:

msiexec /aC:\Users\ME\Desktop\Downloads\GBPVR10213.msi

It did come up with an error but i skipped it and it installs anyways. I read this somewhere else as well so will see if it causes any issues.

funny as I had no issues installing on vista apart from i forgot to install the prerequisite software first but once that was sorted, install and running no problems, but that was business ed, so it maybe some kind of issue with the vista mce maybe?

welll, I am also guilty of screwing around a lot with everything i get my hands on so its possible that I have changed something a long time ago that msi didnt agree with in this case. Maybe a fresh install of vista would be fun Smile
