I was trying to remember that utility but I couldn't remember the name or who created it.

If you want to see the tables in the gbpvr.db3 a good editor/reader is

SQLite Database Browser

http://sourceforge.net/project/showfiles..._id=414746

The two tables you'll be interested in are Channels and Source Channels...

In my tables, the Channel ID column is blank. I believe the only data that is dislayed is the name column

and.................................. we're back.

Working again for me. No more runtime errors just updated a bit ago. I was on the last few days of the guide so glad this seems to be back working again. A bit sketchy at times but yapi always seems to come around before I switch to something else lol.

For those asking where the source code is available, it was innocuously mentioned in a post a few page back.

I have updated the YAPI2XML wiki page to link to the source code for the original vb6 project

I have install GBPVR and am running YApi2XML. I have ran a the manual update like it says on the WIKI page. everything is running fine except for the automatic update. I moved the update file to the main GBPVR folder and have ran it for the last couple of mights and it still not updating. Can someone help?

There might be a completely empty line after that (in other words a newline character at the end of the last line that contains data), I don't remember. If the last line is terminated with a newline character, is that a problem?

I reconfigured with a different zip code and a different provider, and Yapi2xml completes and creates the xml file. Channel info looks like this:

<display-name>105 USA Network</display-name>

<display-name>106 TV Land</display-name>

<display-name>107 Comedy Central</display-name>

Is the channel data supposed to look like this, or is it doing something wrong? I had two channels that had different ids in the ini file, but the same last four digits (9500 or something). When the xml file is produced, I got duplicates. In the ini file, channels look something like this:

,11207_105,16123_106,10149_107,

Why don't the ids look like that in the xml file? That would have prevented my duplicate channel problem.

And one more question. If I zip and attach a schedule.zip file that doesn't work, can someone try to figure out what is wrong with it? It must be something about the zip file that Yahoo creates for that particular lineup. If you know what is wrong with it, maybe you could code a fix.

Getting the following error:

00:58:17 - Attempting to redownload schedule file, try 5/5
00:58:17 - Error: Schedule file corrupted or not found. Will retry in 5 seconds. Try 6/5
00:58:17 - Error: Schedule file corrupted or not found; all retries failed.

Is this just yahoo being a pain or do I have a problem?

Thanks,

TW

If you're in the US try doing your EPG download at a different time of day. At one time I had mine set to update at 1 in the morning Pacific Time and it hardly ever worked. I changed it to 4 in the afternoon and it's worked okay ever since.

Ok, seems to be working now. I plan on setting the time for 8AM GMT-8 and see if that gives success in the future, but it appears to have been the server overload problem.

Thanks,

TW
