I just checked that file and it played back fine for me in PVRX2 with the internal TS reader. I had both video and audio. I'm thinking your missing audio probably just relates to the nvidia audio decoder doing something funny. I'd try some other audio decoder.

I just realised I wrote: "Using internalTS Reader, I get audio but no sound."

I should have said, I get video but no sound.

Anyhow I will try using another audio decoder anyhow just in case. ANy recommendations? ffdshow one?

I use AC3 Filter - but that's for the BBC HD channel I guess, but it does a good job with the others too - I pass through pretty much everything to the SPDIF though.

If you get no video, then I'd try another video decoder. As I mentioned earlier, most people are using the Cyberlink H.264 decoder.

okay i downloaded powerdvd8. Same problem. Then I installed ac3 filter and now I can playback using the internalTS reader.

However still no LiveTv/Timeshifting.

I have including the graphedit file. It seem to be treating the mpeg4 stream as an mpeg2 stream, which perhaps explains why the audio is okay but no video during livetv?

Sub: Which bda multiplexor do you use and what decoders do you use? As would be displayed in graphedit?

You cant open .grf files on other machines, so I cant look at that file. Reproduce the problem with live tv though, then zip and attach the logs and I'll take a look.

Did you select the Cyberlink H264 decoder on the playback tab of the config app? Its a better idea to do this than rely on 'system default'.

Its just a problem with live tv in timeshift mode? ie, Does it work with live preview mode? or playing an in-progress recording?

yes cyberlink decoder is explicitly set in the playback tab

I have the "use live preview mode if possible" set. If I uncheck this, I get nothing. Watching an inprogress recording just gives me audio only.

If i press the * key on the remote during livetv, the video type is listed as mpeg-2 and the resolution is not the same when pressing same button for a completed recording.

Log files attached.

I am not sure this is related to mpeg4/avc recording. But rather any ts recordings, as I had this problem with mpeg-2 TS recordings aswell. It is a pity there are no mpeg-2 ts transimissions I could test with this latest version of gbpvr.
