Hi,

I'm trying to view ITV HD but get no video, audio is OK. I've entered the ITV HD data from another post into scan.cache and have added it as a channel OK. I get no video both when using PVRX2 from a remote PC and when viewing from an NMT. However, when I view ITV HD locally on the server, everything is fine.

I can view BBC HD fine remotely on both PVRX2 and the NMT, just not ITV HD, both are h264 I believe not I'm not sure what else is different (I know ITV HD uses S2 tuning for example).

Any ideas? Logs + config.xmls attached.

Thanks,

Neil.

It looks like it is unable to find an H.264 decoder on the client.

Also, its worth explicitly setting the H.264 rather than relying on 'system default'.

Thanks, but have tried that I think coreAVC was selected as the H.264 decoder in the Config.xml uploaded.

I don't think a readable video stream is being written in the TS file by the TSFileWriter. VLC nor my NMT can render any video from the TS file written.

I have a similar issue with ITV HD in that I can watch live TV fine, but get no picture when timeshifting or from a recording.
I had assumed this is due to the way ITV HD has an incorrect (on purpose) video pid which indicates it is H222 video, instead of the H264 it actually is.
We get round this in GBPVR by manually editing the scan.cache file - but I guess video decoders can't work it out?
I hope there is a way to watch ITV HD recordings - I have a few on my drive now as I am hoping there is a way...maybe changing the FourCC?

Have you tried either of these ts file fixup programs on these streams?

If you can supply a small .ts recording from this channel, I'll take a look to make sure the GBPVR TS Reader filter handles it in the next release.

I'll grab a sample later when todays recordings have finished (motogp on for a few hours).

I too find I have at least part of this oddity with the channel ITV HD

Live TV on server OK.
Live TV on PCH/NMT blank screen
VNC blank screen on recorded file.
WMP no image (see edit)

Uploading 25mb .ts of a short recording. Same as the one in post 2 here http://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php?t=36706

PM with link when it has finished uploading.

Try this patch. This patch plays the ITV HD sample you supplied.

Didn't help for me I'm afraid. I did try the remuxer mvallevand suggested on a buffer file and it found a video stream and kind of fixed it.

I've uploaded a small TS buffer file to: http://www.peely.com/temp/TS.zip

Thanks,

Neil.
