The "TS Mux" option is always used with H.264 channels. I use the Cyberlink H.264 decoder for video. We have different audio here, HE-AAC or AC3, and I use either the Monogram AAC decoder, or AC3Filter.

I have the "use live preview mode if possible" set. If I uncheck this, I get nothing. Watching an inprogress recording just gives me audio only.

If i press the * key on the remote during livetv, the video type is listed as mpeg-2 and the resolution is not the same when pressing same button for a completed recording.

Log files attached.

I am not sure this is related to mpeg4/avc recording. But rather any ts recordings, as I had this problem with mpeg-2 TS recordings aswell. It is a pity there are no mpeg-2 ts transimissions I could test with this latest version of gbpvr.
I still dont really have a great match of logs for the problems you're describing, so its a bit hard to diagnose.

When you have live preview enabled, try this http://forums.gbpvr.com/showpost.php?p=2...ostcount=8. Your logs seem to indicate it is failing to lock onto a signal. Some users have found they need to force it to do the tuning twice, which sort of matches what is shown in your logs.

Also try viewing with live preview disabled, then zip and attach the logs and I'll take a look.

tried the change to tune twice - no change still audio only. video is reported as mpeg-2 - screen is blank.

I have included logs for live tv, internaltsreader with live preview off. Here it seems the .ts file never grows in size!

ignore the last logs. just realised all recording were 0bytes no matter what I did. restart did not fix the problem - had to do a hw reset. (Update: The real reason it worked was I was using FullTsMUX)

here is a log for viewing an in progress recording with internal ts reader

actually I am getting 0bytes recordings with the TsMux all the time now no matter what I do! The only one that I can get to work is the FullTsMux... which I only realised recently is for debug purposes as it only records the first channel on a mux.

I have rolled back to v1.2.9 and the TsMux is working fine... although i obviously cannot test the internaltsreader with this version.

I have another PC that I can test with v1.2.13. Any ideas on how to get the normal TsMux working?

Can you do a channel rescan, then zip and attach your config.exe.log and config.exe-native.log?

Have you tried installing this patch? http://forums.gbpvr.com/showpost.php?p=2...ostcount=7

It is a slightly later TS Mux filter.

Sub,

Without piling on, or rerouting this thread. I'm kind of in the same boat. The only way I can view any of the DTT H.264 is using Cyberlink PDVD8 (and that only handles the video). I can't view live TV or in progress recordings. I'm happy enough to wait it out and see what the next AMD driver update brings.

But while I was tinkering with the set up, I left the mux setting in the config to FullTSmux and the recordings I check this morning were huge. It appears that the tuner recorded everything on the mux so I had a 60Gb file with all four TV and four radio channels on it.

Is this normal or a quirk of how RTE are broadcasting? and could it mean that it's theoretically possible to separately record the 8 different streams from one tuner? Do any of the other Irish guys on here get the same thing?

My apologies if it's a silly question :o

Cheers

Yes, thats normal. Its not intended that people will use Full TS for this reason.

I tried the tsmux patch, but no difference. Still 0byte recordings.

Here are the logs from a channel scan with v1.2.13. I am using a different machine for this testing as I cannot afford to interrupt the recordings of the olympics and the new football season ;-)
