That sample does seem to play fine for me with the patch I posted earlier, just giving me the 'ITV-HD, this service is currently unavailable' screen.

Yes! I can now play ITV HD recordings with this patch - thank you Sub. I have a few 15-minute manual recordings (1.21gb) and they all play fine. So now GBPVR is the only player I know of that can play these ITV HD recordings...

I've uploaded a small TS buffer file to: http://www.peely.com/temp/TS.zip

Thanks,

Neil.

Odd, it worked for me.
Hav you got UseBuiltInTSReader set to true in config?

Thanks for the rapid fix. Looks to be good here as well. Live TV still fine, and now recordings are playable on the server. Can't check client at the moment as set as streaming (dislikes .ts)

Sadly pch/nmt doesn't play the recordings - based on what you found sub, could there be a standalone video fixer that might make them PCH playable?.

thanks again
Martin

Edit - missed t'other Martins fix suggestions for pch, will try them out.

Yes, in theory. It'd need to dynamically update the video stream type in the PMT tables, and correct the CRC value. This could in theory also be done as part of the TS Mux processing, to ensure the data is correct by the time it hits the disk. It'd be a fair chunk of work though, and not something I have time for now.

You possibly misunderstand, I didn't expect a live fix from yourself, just wondering if whatever is "wrong" with the ITV HD .ts recorded file could be repaired by any existing tools floating around. As it only appears to be one channel that isn't currently broadcastings shows regularly and possibly may change from a "hidden red button" channel to a normal one, it certainly isn't worth you spending valuable time on.
