I have two issues that are taunting me currently with the scheduling of recordings any guidance is appreciated.

1. I have a HVR3000 DVB-S providing me with freeview (NZ) this is anew card recently setup, I use Revens EPG aml grabber for EPG. I have removed the freeview channels from my batch file that grabs the EPG within xmltvnz and set up the freeview channels to get the EPG from the DVB feed. This seems to be working fine. The issue is we have noticed that the time within PVRx2 keeps changing to the transponders time which is not unfortunately the local time how can I stop the time of the transponder updating PVRx2? last night we actually had a recording that was still in Pending state this morning I presume because the time flipped and it then missed it!

2. I have a PVR150 which hooks up to my sky box and uses IR blaster to change channels, we have started to notice that around 45 to 50 minutes into recordings the channel changes to 00 (Preview) very annoying and stumping me as to why this might be occuring, any ideas on how to track this one down would be great.

Cheers

Thats not being done by GB-PVR. GB-PVR doesnt parse the system time from the stream, or attempt to update your system time. Its must be something else you have installed that is changing your system time.

You'd probably have to watch the screen at time it happens to see what big digits appear in the corner of the screen to get an idea of what it thinks its receiving through the ir receiver.

thanks for the quick response Sub.

Have you seen any indication that DVB-S cards can set the sytem time of the Pc? I thought it was just happening in PVRx2 but looking at the xmltvnz logs I have two of them now both happening at 03:44 AM and there is only one task schedured to run therefore my thinking is the systems believes it is seeing 03:44 AM twice!

Cheers

I wouldnt expect the card or its drivers to do it. An application could choose to parse the time from the stream and set to time, but GB-PVR definitely doesnt do that. You could have some software on your PC trying to syncronize the time with some internet time server (Windows does this).

I wouldnt expect minor changes in time to cause any significant problem for GBPVR. If you post the logs, and details about what time a recording was supposed to occur, then I'm happy to take a look.
