Yes, it'll be the same reason.

If I don't use live preview I find after about 2 secs of live TV I get that 2 seconds repeated before it corrects itself.

I don't experience any such issues with other software and my HVR3000 doesn't suffer from the same issue.

Did you every find a a solution to this problem? I have the same hardware with exactly the same problem

Bump - has anyone out there - heard any updates / codecs etc that will fix the voice sync issue on NZ DVB-T?

Im currently using Monogram AAC 0.9.3.0 and ffdshow.

I see on the website ffdshow say .... "On the audio front, ffdshow tryouts impresses with support for popular codecs like MP3, AAC, Vorbis, AC3, and DTS as well as not-so-popular ones like LPCM, True Audio, and QDM2."

However even with ffdshow installed - i do not get that as an option for the AAC audio codec in the config program.

I suspect that the issue is that while it supports AAC audio, it doesn't support HE-AAC audio that is used in New Zealand's Freeview HD broadcasts.

I think it's note the HE-AAC that is causing the problem but the way the HE-AAC is encapsulated. Viz seen on another forum:

Quoted from DVB TS 101 154 v1.6.1:
In H.3 "The MPEG-4 HE AAC elementary stream data shall be first encapsulated in the LATM multiplex format according to ISO/IEC 14496-3 "
...
"The LATM formatted MPEG-4 HE AAC elementary stream data shall be encapsulated in the LOAS transmission format according to ISO/IEC 14496-3 "
...
"The LATM/LOAS formatted MPEG-4 HE AAC elementary stream data shall be encapsulated in PES packets. The MPEG-4 HE AAC PES shall be carried with an MPEG stream_id = 110x xxxx and a stream type assignment of 0x11 as described in ITU T Rec. H.222.0 | ISO/IEC 13818-1 "
...

All this means I think is while the actual audio encoding is AAC-HE (high efficiency) the way it's encapsulated in the transmission causes problems with software that needs to process it. Monogram does it and I think sub uses monogram in gbpvr. PDVD8 also does it as does Winamp.

Using PDVD8 codec HA (with both internal and PDVD8 ts enabled, only way my recording would start - strange I know) with Monogram 0.9a everything running perfect. Can pause TV and still stays in sync too.
Found that if you are using AC3 filter you will need to disable PCM in Ac3 filter or else I was getting 'clicking', or uninstal AC3 filter...
