Hello!

I will start some external programs with the plugin.
It works fine at the last time, but now all external programs are starting minimized. But not minimized in the taskbar ! I see nothing from all programs. The first is an selfmade EXE and then follows an BAT. This start my recording software.

I only know the recording software runs i hear the sound oft the TV program.
In the task manager i see the task for the recording software an my EXE, but i dont can switch to it !

I dont have the switch "hide recording software" in the plugin !
I tested also the new GrahpRecorder, but its the same.

Anyone an idea ???
- Gericom HUMMER Laptop with Celeron 2,4 GHz 1GB RAM but only 30GB HDD :-(

- To use the scheduled recording i made an conversion program that "look" into the database "GBPVR.db3".

Now i have deinstall GBPVR an install it again.
I have only the GraphRecorder and no other plugins installed.

I tested it many times, and i let the GraphRecorder start th IExplorer.exe
Its the same as with my program, its in the background and i only see the task in the taskmanager.

I have no idea what it can be !
Anyone can help me ???

Now i have installed GBPVR 1.2.13 on an other PC.
There is the same Problem !

I have deinstall and install the older 1.2.9 and here is again the same problem !

Only the 1.1.5 will work correctly (i don´t have the 1.1.8)
So its not a problem by the plugin, its a problem from GBPVR ???

Its not likely a problem with GBPVR since it just starts the plug-in which starts the external programs. I am not exactly sure what the issue is since you say you see the program in taskmgr so its running and I assume doing what you need, its just not showing in the taskbar.

One option is to run your .exe through a batch or command file rather than directly ni the plugin which would bypass any hidden settings in the plugin and allow full control of showing it or not and all command line options.

Ok, the software is running, but my exe displays some infos about the time an so on. I need batch files to ! But here is the same problem. The batch file and al called programs are not visible. I can not switch to the recording software. First i call my exe, to convert the times from the gbpvr.db3 then i write an schedule file, for the recording software. Then the recording software will be started. at the end, i rename a "dummy" file to the recording file name.

So i call one exe directly, 3 batch files, the recording software, an software "addstop.exe" to stop the recording software....and all this will show nothing !

At the moment, the recording dont work, but i don´t see the output from my exe, so i dont know what is the problem. But the "dont see" problem is not from my exe, i have tested some exe like notepad.exe or iexplorer.exe, and its the same.
Now i have made an batch file, it calls the iexplore.exe...and its the same.
Iexplorer runs, but i dont see them, and i dont can switch to him.

Only the older versions of GBPVR will work...so i think it must be a problem from GBPVR ???

Sad

This all sounds as expected to me. GB-PVR's recording service runs as a service, so I wouldnt expect to see processes started by it on the users desktop.

If you really want to see the windows, you can probably go into the windows->control panel->administrative tools->services, then view the properties of the GBPVR Recording Service, and enable the 'allow service to interact with desktop'. Microsoft recommends against apps using this, so its not enabled in a normal install.
