I'm fairly puzzled. I have been trying to clean up my recurring recordings because I had a number of duplicates (either me forgetting or my wife adding some too). I did delete several duplicates.

I have several sit-coms schedule every evening (That 70's Show, Friends, and Scrubs) and I have all three set to "record season". There are two of each show back-to-back, and all three form a 3 hour block of recordings. However, recently I noticed missing recordings. The TV Guide only shows the 2nd episode of each show will be recorded (highlighted in red). I can go in manually and do a "quick record" on the 1st episode each night (and it shows red and does record), so it's not a lack of resources.

I went in and deleted all of the recurring recording entries for all three of these shows, then added them back (once) with "record season". It didn't make any difference.

Any ideas?

Thanks,
-Brad

Are they in the pending list beforehand, or do they not make it that far?

Thanks for the reply, sub. The 2nd episode shows up in "Pending", but not the 1st. It will if I add it with "quick record" though.

Hit the 'Update EPG' button in the System screen, then zip and attach the pvrx2.exe.log, and the name/times of the shows that are missing.

Will do - tomorrow, I guess. I had already gone through the up-coming week's schedule and added quick records for these shows, so there aren't any that haven't already been scheduled (oops). It has recordings scheduled for the next few hours, so I don't want to reboot. I'll do this tomorrow after the EPG update gives me another days worth of scheduling.

Thanks,
-Brad

Here's the pvrx2.exe.log file. It looks like more of the shows are being scheduled for recording this week, but I did find one example.

9/30/2008, Scrubs, Channel 15, 11pm-11:30pm

That should be in there but it isn't. I was able to added it with "quick record" (after I zipped the log file).

Thanks!

You sure you zipped that before doing that one off recording? Strangely that looks just looks like you scheduled quick record for a scrubs episode, rather than creating a season recording.

I did schedule a quick record for Scrubs on 10/1 to make sure that worked prior to zipping the log, but I definitely left the 9/30 11-11:30pm unscheduled. The last EPG was earlier this morning, did that mess up the log?

I probably need to see the last GBPVRRecordingService.exe.log to see the last automated EPG update then.

Sorry, I've been out. The problem does seem to have rectified itself though. Maybe cancelling the recurring recordings and then rescheduling them fixed it (eventually)? Seems odd, but it does appear to be working as expected now.

Thanks,
-Brad
