yapi2xml epg not updating

ahhh I just took a look at yapi2xml_log.txt, it shows

oops the attachment didnt go through due to file size, can't get it under 1.4mbs even at max compression

Sorry, I dont know anything about yapi2xml, so cant help you with that aspect of it.

I'm just curious what could be causing the database lock.

I just tried this recombined file and it updated the EPG fine here. Sorry, I'm not really sure what more to suggest. Maybe you need to try starting again from a clean database.

The servers that yapi2xml uses are notoriously unreliable. I grew tired of getting the "Error: Schedule file corrupted or not found. Will retry in 5 seconds. Try 1/5" so I tried zap2xml. It worked better, but still would sometimes give the "No Show Details" in the TV Guide. Then the author came up with mc2xml, available from http://mc2xml.110mb.com/ I've been using it for a couple of months now with NO problems at all. Smile

I'll emphasize that the above info is correct. His error is exactly what I frequently saw when using yapi2xml. mc2xml is his best option.
