Hi,
I've got the Hauppauge remote that comes with the 1250 card and it works great. while it's working. occasionally the remote just quits and I have to grab the keyboard, exit PVRX2 and use Hauppauge's restart tool. Is there any way to figure out what's going wrong with the remote?
Has anyone else seen and been able to fix this problem?

Thanks,
Brad

Are you possibly just losing focus from GBPVR?

The ir.exe is pretty buggy and will stop every so often, particularly if you're coming in/out of standby. Have you noticed in task manager if the process "ir.exe" has quit when your remote stops?

If so, one solution is gEd's auto-it script which restarts the ir.exe if it detects it has stopped running (do a search for it on the forums).

here is the link to my script if you want to take a look (and are not suffering from loss of focus when watching divx/xvid files)

Frankmcg: I have been running with $Delay_before_checking_IR_running = 3000 instead of 8000 as this makes the script quicker to detect ir.exe failure, especially when waking up.

Thanks gEd, though think I must have changed that myself a long time back to "600". Must be more impatient than you!

I'm pretty sure that it's not a loss of focus. Like I said, I've got to pull out the keyboard and I've tried chaning focus back. I will try that script. It looks like just the thing.
