After install and config I can't watch tv. I have the channels and channel guide I get the "No Tuners are available to watch the requested channel..." message. I read a similar post from sept. 28th and did as he did. I installed an Mpeg 2 codec and registered it. I hit the live preview box, and I made sure that C:\temp exists.
However, I am not getting any audio preview, if that makes a difference

I also created the 'skin' folder to allow the settings function to work.

alas, I am still not viewing TV.

thanks for the help.

It looks like you havnt done the 'map digital channels to epg channels' step in your capture source.

I read a bit more and then did that and when it goes through its discovery routine it ends with "No channels found, check your config and signal"

the source appears good - I opened windows movie maker just to see if I got the signal, and I did.

don't know exactly what I need to do in config to make it work.

Try running the reregisterfilters.bat file, then try again. If it still doesnt find anything, then zip and attach the config.exe.log and config.exe-native.log and I'll take a look.

For whatever reason, this device is failing to start, so no data is delivered to GB-PVR.

You can sometimes get this error if the device is in use elsewhere in the system.

I saw that I somehow lost my TV guide function from the main menu (froze the machine) so I checked the config, and everything looked okay. However, I could not get it back even after updating the the epg.
I decided that I must have done something in the config of the card so I deleted the entry and recreated.

I still have no live TV as the channel mapping doesn't find anything and I can't get the TV guide to work either.

ugh. I'll attach the logs again just in case.

again, thanks for your help - I just wish I was smarter....

If you have no enabled channels (none found during the channel scan), then the TV Guide and Live TV arent going to work. It needs channels to be able to do either of these tasks.

Don't know what happened. Earlier today I got the program guide. Somehow in my attempts to fix the Live TV I've lost it.

Think I'm going to sleep on it tonight and try again tomorrow. One thing. I have a pinnacle HD stick and when I go to configure it, my computer gives me 4 options
1. Pinnacle PCTV HD Ultimate stick
2. Pinnacle PCTV HD Ultimate stick (QAM)
3. Pinnacle PCTV Hybrid pro stick type 2 DVB-t
4. Pinnacle PCTV Hybrid pro stick type 2 BDA

not sure which one to pick. that may be the issue.

any suggestions?
