After much work, it appears that the issue is that I am not mapping any channels. I have a Pinnacle PCTV HD Pro Stick.

In the Config - Digital Source Config I have the following 4 options (the first and last appear to be the same)

pinnacle PCTV Hybrid Pro Stick (type 2)
pinnacle PCTV HD Ultimate stick
pinnacle PCTV HD Ultimate stick (QAM)
pinnacle PCTV Hybrid Pro Stick (type 2)

I have country set as all region and region/transmitter on all channel

I imported an xmltv using the yapi2xml and it populated the channels window with a list of channels with the 'enabled' checkboxes UNCHECKED. I have run the update EPG and that looks good.

Reading earlier posts, I have run the re-register.bat (still with the config window open if that matters.)

attached are the logs

You should be using one of the "Ultimate stick" entries. Are you trying to use it with cable or OTA? If you are using it with OTA, set it to the non-QAM one. If you are using it with cable, you may need to set the device for QAM. Open regedit and browse to the following key:
Code:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Class
Then do a search for "ATSCMode" with only "Values" checked. When you find it, change it to "2". You will then need to restart your computer before scanning again.

I changed it to the Pinnacle Ultimate (QAM) then found and changed the registry value to 2.

I also ran the re-registerfilters.bat again

alas, no luck.

I know the device is found by GBPVR because I checked the box saying only find attached devices.

ugh.

I have an old ATI All-in-Wonder card that I'd be willing to try, but I don't believe it is supported.

which lines in which logs should I be looking at to see where the error is?

thanks

I suspect that it is due to the wrong frequecies being scanned. Zip and post your config*.log files after running a scan.

That scan shows that it is locking onto a signal on various channels but the signal is weak:
Code:
2008-10-07 11:04:46.832    VERBOSE    locked=1    present=1     strength=10375     quality=32
Strength should be around 30000 and quality should be around 90 for this device.

Here is an example from one of my scans:
Code:
2008-10-07 11:31:32.599    VERBOSE    locked=1    present=1     strength=30582     quality=91

If you have any splitters on your line, try removing them.

I removed them and tried again. No luck. I did look at the various signals in the logs and some were still low, but others were high and yet I have no channels.

here are the latest logs.

Does the included software find any channels? If so, zip and post your [DriveLetter]:\TVCenter Pro\PCLE.PVR\Channels folder.

I'll have to do it in the morning, but I definitely will.

No problem. It may be tomorrow night before I get to it but some people have had trouble scanning for QAM channels. That folder contains all the necessary info for us to create the tuning strings for your channels. So I can easily get them to show up in the channel mapping window.
