Screen Sizing 1080p

I have an NMT connected to a 1080p screen with a GBPVR 1.2.13 backend. If I play an HD recording or live HD tv, it's fantastic. If I play an SD channel though, the image is just a small section of the centre of the screen. Is that just the way it is? or have I cocked something up.

I have tried specifying the screensize with -m 1080p, but it makes no difference. Is it possible to have the NMT or the backend automatically resize the output or tell the TV to switch to a different resolution?

The display setting for mvpmx2 don't control how video's are played. This sounds like the video is both pillar boxed for SD with SD letterboxing from the broadcaster. On the PCH remote there is a zoom key that give various modes that might improve things. Note that in the next firmware there is a new function called crop that will allow these videos to be truly full screen in all their SD glory.
