I'll try that, but the new AC3 filter is a very different beast since a new developer took over a while back, and it's not been problematic for me on other applications (or even for other channels).

Thats pretty much the only suggestion I've got, so you might as well try it. Otherwise, I dont know.

It seems weird that AC3 gets sound out of the problem channel when selected, but MPA gets none when selected, so I don't think it can be AC3Filter forcing itself into place, as I'd expect to get AC3Filter at least producing sound.

Hmm, nope, removing AC3 Filter makes no difference, so the problem doesn't seem to be there.

Sorry - I've got no ideas then.

I think I've got a solution. I had an older AC3 codec installed (dunno what it was, it was just labelled in my add/remove programs as "AC3 Decoder"). When I uninstalled that and went back to AC3 Filter, things seem to be sorted as far as the sound popping/dropping on a few channels.

The only thing that isn't working is the single channel that is very bad and at best I've only managed to get very stuttery sound with GBPVR under loads of codecs. Weirdly, this channel works fine in Hypermedia, but I'm not that fussed as it's not a channel I would watch under normal circumstances.
