Basic Skin for PVRX2

Hi mixman,

one more little request! With other skins when I search the tv guide and select program/s to record they go red in the search box. Any way of introducing this in basic skin so in the search guide I can see what's going to be recorded?

I have been alpha testing a database driven music plugin that Bekken has been working on the last months. The plugin is soon going from alpha to beta stage, so some feedback would be useful,
Is there anyone out there that is using the Basic Skin and has a huge music collection that would be willing to try it out and give feedback?
I have approx 28.000 music titles so basic testing has been done.
The plugin has 4 major sort views, folder, artist, album and genre.
The folder view reads the actual folder on the HDD, just like Music Library.
Most Played and Playlist is just one playlist at the moment.
Search function is working and the plugin is very fast over all. Around 2 sec. to show 3500 album icons.

I have run into problems with the skin not understanding old style plugins. For example I cannot use Uburadio even though it runs from the blue skin. Is this a known problem? I know from the logs that skin\blue isn't being called, but even when I duplicate all the common files a end up with a big red X in the screen.

Big red X means that something is missing in the skin file.
I would test and see if the Uburadio skin works with Blue skin?
I tested fallback from new Basic to old Basic skin with Sudoku plugin and that worked fine.
Probably something "wrong" in the ubu skin,

Ubu Radio does works well with the blue skin, with psycik's old skin zip file. I guess I have to work on Ubu Radio to make it run from skin2

If you have the Basic/Mayhem3 skin and want fallback to old plugins and have the same "design"
Take the old Basic skin and make a copy of it named Mayhem3 in the skin folder. Apply the Mayhem3 Theme that you can find on the hyperlinkx wiki.
The taskimage must be in the plugin skin folder to show up in new PVRX2 skins.

Doing this, the Soduko (maiking image semitransparent) will show up like this.

I also had to copy skin\blue\GBPVRUIElements but that got it, with the Basic theme. I am having trouble applying the Mayhem theme but this is a start.

There have been more than 2000 downloads of this skin and no comments at all.
Is anyone using the skin?
Shall I stop updates and remove the skin?

I removed the Basic skin from active skins. It is now unsupported.
