can't play or watch tv new install

okay got it all hooked up.
Still have that same problem. If I try to play something I just set to record, it locks up. I have to end task to get out of it.
does not happen with live tv and pause. That is it doesn't lock up, but the screen still goes black. Have to change channels to get a picture again.

Also found that a recording I just made was black. No video, but still had audio.
the logs I attach now should cover both.

Oh btw, is there a font change you can do? I find it hard to read the menu items on the left side of the screen, and guide search.
Very blurry.
TV video seems to be clear, but all the words are just fuzzy.

I suspect it has something to do with your decoders.

Try setting your prefered MPEG audio decoder to AC3Filter and set your prefered video decoder to something other than System default.

tried that, and it made it worse. Put it back to where pausing live tv locks it up again.
When I killed it this time and brought it back, I got black screens on live tv. Changing the channel didn't fix it.

Thanks for the idea though.

I also realized I can't rewind or ff live tv. But I know the buttons work because I can ff through the guide.

found the large font skin.
The lock up trying to play after starting a recording I can work around, but will help debug if you are interested.
The lock up/black screen on pause and audio, no video are my main concerns right now.

I verified that if I manually record from all 4 tuners at once and then stop the recordings, I can play data from all of them through gbpvr.

Is it possible auto recordings are different?

Also I ran another test to see if it was a watching while recording thing.
I set all 4 tuners to record.
Then I canceled a recording. Then I used that tuner to watch live tv.
I then set it to record again, and moved to the next recording and did the same thing.
Did that with all 4, so I verified I could watch live tv with all 4 tuners.
That is if the tuners "lock" when set to record, then I used all 4 tuners.
I then stopped all the recordings and verified that all of them played. it had 2 recordings for each show I set to record. both played correctly.

okay checked by setting auto record for all 4.
one of them comes in blue only when set to auto record.
But as I said above it set to manual, they all work fine.
So I don't think it is the card, unless as above I said, it doesn't lock in a tuner.

All of it is analogue. no digital, as I know there is a bug on split recording.
