I've gotten through all steps, until I click on the GBPVR link in the html file. My screen immediately goes blank, and I have to unplug and plug it back in.

Any idea what would cause a failure at that point?

If at that point you wait 30 seconds and the NMT comes back the problem has almost alway been not allowing PVRX2.exe through your firewall or not autostarting an MVP Server in the config program.

Thanks for the quick response!

I've left it for almost 5 minutes without it coming back. Also I've opened the firewall for pvrx2 and started 1 server. Any ideas?

Also, my folder is called Media. Just replace EditMe with Media, right? In searching I found references to a : thing in addition, so I didn't know if it's down to just the folder name.

Pvrx2.exe has to be running on the computer to connect, right? Or no?

Thanks!

You must have name your share correctly or you wouldn't have been able to get past step one where you confirmed telnet was working. However remember after pluging the NMT in you must always start the telnet script and then the gbpvr script

PVRx2.exe is started but automatically, you should see it in Task Manager if you view task for all users.

I can check other things if you zip and upload your GBPVR logs.

Okay, solved a couple issues and ended up with more.

GB-PVR itself wasn't working, due to codec settings, etc, but those are fixed so I can view media on my computer.

Now, on the PCH, I enable telnet, says it's started on port 23 and I can confirm access from my computer to it through telnet.

The problem is, the white screen that says it's started on port 23, if I hit return out of that screen, I get a "request cannot be processed," and from then on, that share has that same error.

I've got to be doing something wrong here, but since I'm not even trying GB-PVR at this point, I don't think those logs will show anything.

For future reference though, which logs do you need?

Any ideas why I'm getting the error message and the boot from my share?

Really haven't made much progress here.

I completely disabled Windows Firewall and Defender even though I had allowed the program through already. Also I have a D-Link router that I've allowed the port to be opened and directed to my computer. I don't think it's blocking any programs, but I don't know how to make sure.

Other than that, there shouldn't be any other factor as far as blocking, but then again, this should have gone smoothly in the first place Smile

Here are my logs, let me know if you need anything else. I hope someone can make sense of what it's doing! Smile

Martin, do you know how many times I looked at those scripts, knowing Linux was very particular about case issues?? Evidently not well enough. Thank you for your time and effort. It worked once I fixed that!

I still have trouble with it once I have established Telnet connection, then I can no longer access my media folder. It's intermittent, so I have no idea why it does it.

When I can't access the media folder, I can still access other folders on my computer, can still Telnet FROM my computer, so the link between the PCH and computer is still there, both regular and Telnet, so I have no idea.

Any suggestions?
