Hello,

I got a PCH A110 and want to connect it with GBPVR (Version 1.4.7, I also tried it with the version 1.1.5).

The PCH can connect to the Windows Media Player on the PC and displays videos. I can connect also the PC with the PCH by using the adress 192.168.178.104:8883/network_share.html in the internet explorer.

But when I try to install the mvpmcx2 with NMTInstall.exe the installation process aborts after I type in the MAC-Adress an click on "Install". Before it aborts it shows shortly that the installation-routine tries to connect, then it aborts.

Is there any way how I can install mvppmcx2 on my PC?

Thanks for any help

To run NMTInstall your PC must connect to the Internet (http downloads from mvpmc.org for NMTInstall.xml and mvpmcx2n.7z, to GBPVR.com for patches, and possibly to microsoft for .NET) I just tested and the mvpmc.org portion is running fine.

If Internet access is not available you have to use the full dummies guide.

The PC has a connection to the internet and it can access the website mvpmc.org.

It may be your firewall getting in the road & stopping it working?
I Use ZoneAlarm & it pops up asking if I want to allow the NMTInstaller access to the net.

I use the firewall that comes with windows XP. It did not pop up or asked me something. The installation process just aborted. It so even when I deactivated the firewall.

The XP firewall will by default allow outbound connections, some antivirus programs do provide "internet security" though. What is the directory listing for your destination folder?

There is no speciall antivirus-software installed on this PC. Only the microsoft security essentials are activ.

The directory of c:\mvpmc has only one file called nmtinstall.xml. The content of the file shows this:

I tried it several times. I even tried it with dots between the hexedezimal numbers, but the NMTInstall did not accept it. I did use the MAC-Adress and not the IP-adress.

I can't see this is a problem with the MAC address. My suggestion is to d/l and install .NET 20 and see if that helps.
