I suppose it would be too picky of me to suggest that the image handling module be updated to allow dispay of RAW images, rather than just JPEGs?

That's not picky at all - if that's how you have your images stored. MLPanel already looks for GIF and PNG as well as JPG 'cos that's what I have.

RAW on the todo list.

Are you able to view your RAW images in the default Photo Library?

I'm trying the latest mvpmc dongle at the moment and have MLPanel set for the default screensaver (GB-PVR logo / datetime etc.). I've noticed that when the logo moves, it seems to leave itself behind or if it only moves slightly, it overwrites itself partially.

I don't have a digital camera to hand but a simulation looks like the attached images.

This is with Green Reflect in Community skin v3.1.2. It doesn't do it with the default dongle.bin so I'm guessing it's really an mvpmc issue. It's no biggy - I just thought I'd report it for feedback's sake.

Here are a couple of enhancements...

Change Log:
* The image file extensions supported by MLPanel Slide Show are now user configurable.
* Support for the Slick skin MenuArt feature added (GBPVR v1.3.7 only).
* Fixed problem where MLPanel would not start with Web Radio (GBPVR v1.3.7 only).
* Fixed problem where MLPanel would not start under the Slick Skin (GBPVR v1.3.7 only).
* Fixed problem where MLPanel would fail if the MVP skin was set to 'Default'.
* Fixed a few other minor bugs.

To install, backup your existing MLPanel.dll and MLPanel.pdb files from Plugins\MLPanel, then unzip the attached into your GBPVR folder.

To add your own prefered image file extensions, use notepad to add this line to your MLPanelConfig.xml file...

<slideShowExtensions>jpg|png|gif</slideShowExtensions>

then edit in your own extensions at the end of the list (separated by '|') eg

<slideShowExtensions>jpg|png|gif|nef</slideShowExtensions>

There is no guarantee that a specific extension will work, but if they can be displayed by Picture Library, then they will be OK in MLPanel.

So you're getting twice as much - does that mean it's twice as good?

I'm using dongle.mvpmc-20080405.bin and I've never seen any artifacts like this. If you could let me know what specific version you've got, I'd like to try to recreate here. Does it do the same sort of thing when you are playing music?

I had a quick look at the MVPMC subforum and found this...

"Do you have <MVPUseIncrementalUpdates>true</MVPUseIncrementalUpdates> in your config.xml"

Setting it to false might change this behaviour?

So, in response to your followup - yes, incremental updates was true. I've set it to false now so I'll see what happens.

I just checked my server - it's set to false - as soon as i get a chance, I'll try it with true.
