First of all, I'm running XP Proffessional and a HVR-950 (USB) Tuner. I got GB-PVR to recognize it with the "BDA Recording Plugin" setting, but I can't get it to find any channels. When I go to Live TV I get the "No tuners are available for the requested channel...". What do I need to do?

have you done a scan (map digital channels to the epg button)
after you added the tuner

Yes I tried that, I don't have an epg set up yet, but it scanned out of 68 (if that makes sense), and didn't show up with anything afterwards

it doesnt really work without the epg data as it needs that to map the channels to

you could try adding channels manually then do the scan

I think I did that, in the "edit recording source" I added two channels that should work, is that what you mean? Before I did that when I clicked on "Live TV" nothing happened, after that I did that it said the tuner wasn't available, so I figured I was making process. Should I be setting the "Tuning request" to anything?

tuning request
when you click on the map digital channels thats when the tuning request is used
try the scan again it should come up with channels below box on right which should have a picture in it after you do the scan
you have a arial plugged in and it receives channels if you plug it into something else dvb-t
you do have dvb-t channels in your area ????

I am doing another scan right now, there is nothing that pops up in either box on the right.

My TV Tuner is plugged in directly to cable, and when I run it on WinTV - the (crappy) software that came with it, all the channels show up no problem.

i really know nothing about how your canadian tv system works
but you are searching for digital stations (atsc going by the specs of your tv card)
but the card also does analog(this part doesnt work in gbpvr)
i am wondering if thats what it is using in wintv have a look and check

I think you got it, I think it is the analog problem, it seems to mention Analog in WinTV. You mention GB-PVR doesn't do analog?

If that is the case I guess I need a different program, can you recommend any? The main thing I'm looking for is an integrated guide so I can record tv, as well as tv series. I would also like the pause/rewind feature. I had media centre on my other computer and quite liked it, so seeing as this is similar it looked like a good substitute.
