In order to satisfy my insane obcession of using GBPVR, I bought and installed a 250GB hard drive. I set it up specifically for storage of the GBPVR files. I moved several videos to it that I hadn't viewed yet, I reconfigured the Video Library and recording directories appropriately, yet it won't find the recordings to play them. Help

You'll probably have to post your logs in order to troubleshoot.
  • Startup PVRX2
  • Navigate to the Video Library plugin and select
  • Select one of the entries and drill down
  • Exit PVRX2
  • Zip and post the gbpvr/logs/pvrx2.exe.log file

Make a duplicate of your recordings-dump.xml.
Open it in Notepad.
Modify the path to the new location.
Import the new file.

I have dug through both of these above suggestions and can't find any issue with them. Even weirder, GBPVR will record and play live TV into the new directories on the new drive and make it available, it just won't play my old recordings that I moved over to the new storage drive.

Out of curiosity, what OS are you running? I know there is something funky about Vista and cached files or something.

Also, if you recreate problem, then zip and post your logs, we may be able to see something.

You mean that recordings-library doesn't see the recordings in the new location, right? That's because when you moved them to the new location, gbpvr couldn't find them on the old location so it wiped them from the database. To see them again you have to import them again into the database. That's what Whurlston was referring to.
The video-library just looks in whatever dirs you tell it to look (in config). It's not database driven.
