I'm liking I-xmltv but have noticed that whenever there is a channel without any guide info, I simply get 'Zap2it' in the guide area. If I click on the program to find out more about it, I just get 'no messages from Zap2it today'. Some of these are national programs such as Insider (nope, don't watch it Smile) but I wonder why that is. Others seem to be very late at night are look to be infomercials.
This is not a complaint but a curiousity question and one wondering if I didn't set it up correctly.

I believe that I-XMLTV replaces 'Paid Programming' info with Zap2It messages. That would account for the late night infomercial stuff. Not sure about the others. Have you checked the raw XML file vs. the 'enhanced' file. Maybe you can see why it is replacing the national stuff?

There's actually a way to change that, but I don't remember what it is. I will try to do some searching.

A quick look can't find anything but jeez, it's a huge file. It's not a bother so I'm moving on but since I've never used anything but the standard SD selection, it just caught my eye.

Hi guys,
I've been reading the forum lately because I'm setting up a new system for ATSC, just happened to catch your post. Smile

In UpdateEPG.bat (or whatever batch file ultimately runs the I-xmltv commands)

Code:
"SET Zap2ItStatus=2"    --Replaces "Paid Programming" listing with Zap2It status messages for "2" days. "9" is the max allowed value.
"SET Zap2ItStatus=0" = disabled.

I-xmltv will only replace "Paid Programming" listings that have no subtitle or description with Zap2It messages. Leaving it enabled shouldn’t cause any harm but the DataDirect service it was written for no longer exists so there wont be any status messages.

Glad to see you're back. It really looked like you've taken a permanent leave of absense...
