I have an analog signal on one tuner, and a digital signal on a second tuner - both in one computer.

I need to use MC2XML for the EPGs. The channel line up is different for the two signals, so I'll have to have two EPGs - one for the analog line up, and one for the digital line up.

I've been studying how to do this, and I'm not quite sure how to do it. Does anyone have any pointers on doing this.

I am guessing that MC2XML creates XMLTV files. Run MC2XML twice with the parameters that you need to create two XMLTV files.

In the Capture Sources tab, set the EPG Source for one device to one XMLTV file and the EPG Source for the other device to the other XMLTV file.

GBPVR uses the name of the channel from the XMLTV file(s) to identify a channel. If both XMLTV files contain a channel called WXYZ, GBPVR will know that it can record a programme on that channel from either device.

you can do this with one xmltv file. You create the channel list that contains all channels for both tuners. Setup both capture cards to point to the same xmltv file. Once you run the EPG update, you go into the capture card and uncheck the channels that is not available for the capture card.

This way you can use the UpdateEPG.bat to pull down the channel guide.

You will need two "dat" files in your mc2xml directory. Run mc2xml with the setup for your area and provider of your choice for your analog channels (set up a .chl file as desired to only include the channels you want, call it "channel1.chl", for example). Rename the resulting dat file as mc2xml1.dat. Optionally rename the xml file to mc2xml1.xml. Run mc2xml with the setup for your area and provider of your choice for your digital channels (set up a .chl file as desired to only include the channels you want, call it "channel2.chl", for example). Rename the resulting dat file as mc2xml2.dat. Optionally rename the xml file to mc2xml2.xml.

In your batch file for retrieving your listings include these lines

cd "path-to-your-mc2xml-directory"
mc2xml -D mc2xml1.dat -C mc2xml1.chl -o mc2xml1.xml
mc2xml -D mc2xml2.dat -C mc2xml2.chl -o mc2xml2.xml

Note that you need to replace "path-to-your-mc2xml-directory" with the correct path to your mc2xml directory.

Setup 2 capture sources, one for analog, setting up mc2xml1.xml as the data file, and another source for digital, setting mc2xml2.xml as the data file for it.

Post back if that doesn't work.
