I reference to configuring the CUSTOM1/CUSTOM2 recording settings: If I wish to archive to DVD what I've recorded w/GB-PVR, can I get some recommendations from everyone for getting the absolute best quality before burning to DVD. Thanks.

VBR 8000kbps with 224kbps audio. This fits within DVD spec nicely.
Using more bitrate is a waste.
I find that 6000kbps is generally good for "archiving" stuff that may only be watched once.
You can never have enough tuners!

reboot,
I assume you're talking about 720x480 on the vid res but what about the constant vs variable setting?

Peak no more than 9200, or some players will just crap out. Combined video and audio bitrate should not exceed 9500kbps for DVD spec, and even at that rate, some players can't do it.
I stick with the numbers above, with no troubles. (3 different players tested)
It seems that using more than that is a waste anyhow, as you can't get better quality than the source, and VHS or TV just isn't that good...now if you had digital TV, it's a different story.

Reboot, when you say if you had digital TV, do you mean capturing didital signal, or sending captured analog to a digital TV?

I mean capturing an HDTV digital signal, not DV cam digital, or otherwise.
