Cant get Nero Digital MP4 to play

Hi
Just setup my second box and am having promlems playing Nero Digital files.

I have installed the codec and the files play fine in Windows Media Player

Running on XP

Havent installed anything else apart from Nero and xvid

Can anyone help? I have it working on my other box fine but it was a long time ago that i set it up.

Do i need media player classic?

When i play the file i just get a blank screen and no sound.

Download graphedit, run it, select the 'render media file' menu option, then choose one of these files. If it gets no errors, then zip and attach a screenshot of the graph and I'll take a look.

It says it cannot construct a graph and the format isnt supported.

But it plays in WMP
I am sure on my other box i had to install WMP classic - is this not required any more?

You need install something that'll get the required directshow decoders etc on your machine. I dont know what that is though. Maybe MediaPlayer Classic will do this. Once its going in GraphEdit, it'll also work in GB-PVR (and other directshow based players). Newer versions of WMP do some non-directshow stuff, so it isnt always a good comparison point.
