Can you try deleting the .cache files, then do the 'map digital channels to epg channels' for each capture source, so that it immediately starts scanning without pressing the 'rescan' button. I'm curious if it behaves any differently this way.

I deleted all my cache files and mapped digital channels... on both tuners. Both worked as they should - immediately started to scan without Rescan button and both tuners found all available channels including those on mux 1

Just in case you would ask, I then rescanned both tuners and both went back to the old behaviour - not scannning mux 1

Great. It sounds like scanning from scratch is working correctly. Can you see if hitting the 'rescan' button still causes the original behaviour?

Yes - it does (see edit to my previous post - I'm too slow again...)

Can you confirm this patch addresses both scenarios? Automatic scan and rescan.

Yep - both initial scan and rescan find and correctly scan all 6 muxes on both tuners.

On rescan, both tuners show signal strength and quality of zero on mux 1 - but the mux 1 channels are still found and appear in the scan cache files and the found channels list

Great - sounds good to me. Thanks for testing it for me.

Sub - you are not going to believe this, but this patch fixed my problem also! I now get lots of clear QAM channels, including the elusive 86.3 that it would never find! So cool, your fix for another problem fixed mine. This needs to be posted to the Survival guide!

The patch is already in the survival guide. I added it yesterday. It'll only make any difference to the first frequency scanned though, so I'm not sure how it could have helped you, but glad to hear you're finding your channels anyway.

Yeah, got all my local plus a few extras mapped. Once it finds the channels you are looking for, mapping isn't all that bad!
