So on the great subject of streaming TV.
When I select the streaming settings via EWA I am obviously trying to get a better viewing experience by having the bitrate and window size large. But when setting the bandwidth at LAN and the window size at 720 using VLC I can say the output is not worth watching. When the camera view of the show/program changes there is a considerable amount of distortion lasting for a couple of seconds. As often as this happens in a show or movie the better half of the program is unwatchable.
Setting the window size smaller does work in terms of the distortion going away but that would be a significant trade off when enlarging the window to a decent viewable size. The external monitor I am using is a 15" with a max of 1024 so I'm not talking about blowing this up to huge proportions.
As I mentioned the bitrate and window size are at the highest setting along with the priority level. When I check the server machine I see the CPU usage is hovering around the 10% and network usage is around 1.8% on both client and server machines on 100mb conn.
I have not changed much on the gbpvr server side from default, so if there are certain settings which people have found to work well for both viewing via the MVP and through EWA streaming please tell!
Thanks!
Jeremy
