New version of StartPVRX2

Thanks for the steer and the code! I'll consider it - though my first reservation is whether it take the utility too far away from what it's intended for. However, I've a couple more ideas in the back of my mind to add to to it so maybe that'll make it through.

In the meantime I've uploaded v1.61 today, which fixes the problem that I've had of PVRX2 (using EVR under XP/SP3) becoming invisible even though it's still running, which happens when I try to play a video after the PC's been woken from standby.

New version now up here: v1.7 makes the user-configurable delay (default 20 seconds) before StartPVRX2 starts the main PVR program sticky by saving the delay value in an ini file in the gbpvr directory, and retrieving it on startup. If that location's a problem for anyone, please say.

New version of StartPVRX2 now available here. V1.8 adds the following features:
1. Bug fixed that caused over-frequent writing to the INI file and may have contributed to standby problems
2. Logging exists with two levels - debug and info (the default)
3. Changed tray icon from AutoIT default to the one used by the old GBPVR program. This helps it stand out a bit more.

I installed your util to get rid of a PVRX2 focus problem which has to do with the DivX decodec. It starts some kind of config util that steals focus. However, on one of my GBPVR systems, it does this without even being visible in the ALT-TAB list. The end result is that PVRX2 does not have focus and does not respond to the keyboard, even with your util in place. If I start any other app, like notepad and use ALT-TAB, focus is given back and things work again. Is there some way your util could detect this type of situation and fix it?

Have made changes suggested by goy2k in support forum to allow for other languages, plus added more holistic method of detecting user activity. This means that if you're working on the PC, StartPVRX2 won't switch back to PVRX2 unitil all user activity (keyboard and mouse) has ceased.

You can use xvid instead of divx and it won't have that problem. Also, I remember seeing an option somewhere to tell divx to not do that. It probably came in the Klite megapak codec install. I gave up and use xvid now.

I've trickled version 1.83 of StartPVRX2 onto the download site.

It adds:
a) Option to view logs
b) Grabs 'Program Files' in a language-independent fashion (NB: following user request - lengthens startup time slightly)
c) Improved way of discovering PVRX2 installation directory
d) Smarter About/Credits box
e) General code tidying and improved consistency
