The only comment I have is that I'm not a fan of scrolling homepages.

The artwork looks great but the design (in printer terms) is in 'portrait' whereas computer monitors are effectively in 'landscape'. This breaks the lines of the design - with a 17in monitor at 1024x768, what I see when I open the webpage is similar to the attached. Even using 1280x1024, the page is cut off just above the 'Download' section.

It would be nice if the two rounded rectangles could fit in a window which didn't need scrolling - just cosmetics really but I thought I'd mention it.

The problem with that is that it is often extremely difficult to fit all the infomation you want into a non scrolling website, especially when you are trying to do it with a single page. Even if you do, to what size do you target your design? If you target 1024x768, when displayed on 1280x1024 you have 25% blank space on the bottom.

When designing a website layout, you usually try to prevent horizontal scrolling rather than vertical since people are already preconditioned to accept vertical scrolling. All major $$$ websites are designed this way.

Not saying that it can't be done, it's just not easy to find the right balance in a design that does this without putting too much into too small a space.

I've been wondering about this too, or even removing the text entirely. Hopefully Hairy will be able to come up with something.

Eh! so far the only thing I've come up with is, given all that white space above them, some thing like this:

Sub, yourself and Mcbainuk are spot on with this, they aren't links and shouldn't be there. I've spent all morning messing with the header, but nothing I've come up looks any better than simple removing the text. It fit's with the ultra simple design, so I tweaked the graphics and layout ever so slightly and attached them below, they should be directly swap-able.

How about adding spaces to this:

With all the caps, it makes for hard reading like supercalifrajalistexpyalldocious
