Hi, first of all, I'm new to GB-PVR and new to these forums, so I apologize if I'm posting this in the wrong forum or anything like that. Also please forgive my lack of familiarity with the software. I'm trying to get GB-PVR to work with the Hauppauge HD PVR. Here's what I've done so far:

-- Opened up the GBPVR Config program
-- Went to the "Capture Sources" tab
-- Clicked on "Add"
-- In the Create Capture Source window, selected "Analog High-Def Recording Plugin"
-- Added a channel (232) just for testing
-- Opened up PVRX2 and went to "TV Guide"
-- Attempted to watch channel 232, but PVRX2 just gives me a black screen.

Am I doing something wrong? Is there any other configuration I need to do? By the way, the Hauppauge HD PVR hardware seems to be working fine; when I used it with the software that came with it, it was able to record. Let me know if there's any other information I can give that would help.

Zip and attach the logs directory and I'll take a look.

OK, thank you very much. I assume you mean "C:\Program Files\Devnz\GBPVR\logs". Here it is.

When you record, does it create a file? Is it greater than zero bytes long?

OK, I tried recording, and GBPVR did create a file of more than 0 bytes. I tried opening that file with VLC media player, and it played perfectly, with video and audio.

Next, I tried playing around with the playback settings in the GBPVR config. I changed the H.264 decoder to CoreAVC instead of ArcSoft, and now the recording plays in PVRX2, with video but with no audio. Also the live TV now plays with video and no audio. I tried playing around with the settings for the AAC decoder and the HE-AAC decoder, but that didn't enable the audio. Do I need to download a new codec?

Did you have the Arcsoft audio decoder available as an AAC decoder option? This audio decoder should play the HD-PVR recordings.

What AC3 decoder do you have selected?

Yes, I had the ArcSoft AAC audio decoder available. But even after selecting it, there was still no audio. For the AC3 decoder, I had "System Default" selected. Changing it to ArcSoft didn't fix the problem.

Could you make a very short recording available on a webserver somewhere so I can check one of your files?

Hi, I just wanted to let you know, I'm still having this problem, but I'm away from my house, and I probably won't be back until January 4th. I'll do what you said when I get a chance. Thanks for your help so far.

OK, I'm back at my house, and I finally got a chance to do what you said. I uploaded a recording and it's available at:

http://www.2shared.com/file/4628086/9730...51400.html

The file is a one-minute recording, with a size of 29 MB. I suppose it will take along time to download, so I'm sorry about that. I couldn't figure out how to make a recording of less than one minute. Again, thanks for your help so far.
