I am playing around with a client PC. I can view recordings, etc. But when I try LiveTV, it doesn't execute the channel changer on the server.

So if I try to watch channel 10 on the client, and the server is currently on channel 250, I get channel 250. But the client thinks it is channel 10 (according to the filename, OSD, etc.).

I am using the .exe channel changer to change my Directv STB. It works when I use it on the server directly.

I've attached the server log file for the recordingservice-native. As it was the only one that updated when I performed the task from the client machine.

The recording service will most likely be running your channel changer correctly, but the channel changer executable you're using may require the clipboard, or something similar, so try going into the Control Panel -> Administrative tools -> Services, and view the properties of the GBPVR Recording Service, and enable the 'allow service to interact with desktop' setting. This is the most common reason for the channel changes not to work. If thats not the cause, then reproduce the problem and zip/attach the GBPVRRecordingService.exe.log file.

I checked the Recording Service, and it is allowed to interact with the desktop.

Only other thing I can think of is I am using a .bat file to do my channel changing, and it looks like GBPVR is trying to execute it, but it's not working... hmmm

I've attached the logs in case you see something I don't.

As far as I can tell, GB-PVR is correctly running your batch file, but you've got some problem in your batch file which causes it to not do what you're expecting. It could be something like the working directory not being what you think it is or similar. Try adding some logging to your batch file.

Weird... the COM port itself was the culprit. When I changed the channel on the server, it worked. Yet, I'd get a COM port open error when I tried from the client. So I disabled/enabled the COM port and it all seems to be working now...

Frustrating...

Thanks for the help.
