I have trouble recording. Sometimes it works but more often it do not work at all. I have no problems watching TV or switching channels though.

I have submitted the logs for one scenario.
I start watching one channel without problem.
Then I start recording the same show by pressing the record button.
Now the screen gets black and I have to close the Live TV and go back to the menu.

Any ideas?

What do you have <BDASubmitTuningRequestTwiceOnRecord> set to in config.xml? If its false, try setting it to true.

It was set to true. Is this set by some checkbox in config.exe? If it is then I may have changed it after my first post.

The same issue as described above happens with timeshift as well, I guess it's the same thing basically.

Can the MDapi filter contribute to these kinds of trouble?

Do you have the GBPVRRecordingService.exe.log that went with thoses files in the zip?

Yeah, could do. If its unable to decrypt the channel (or not fast enough), then you can get this sort of behaviour.

I packed all log-files with the same timestamp. The other files where from the night before.
But I try and redo the exercise later when the TV is free...

OK, here is another try at this problem. And some new insights.

I have no problem watching encrypted channels via the mdapifilter. But as soon as I start recording, the mdapi and acamd icon is closed...

So I have added the mdapifilter log as well.

From what I can tell in those logs, everything looks fine from a GB-PVR perspective.

How big did this D:\!_film_serier!\Inspelning\Spin City\Spin City_20090106_12151245.ts file end up?

That one is only 20 Mb, but thats because I stopped recording, as the mdapi closed.
To get a sense of size I recorded another 30 min show and that have the size 822 Mb.
But if I try to open it in MPC I get an "undefined error" (the free to air ts-recordings can be opened). VLC "opens it" but nothing is shown. And in GBpvr I see the green progress on top racing counting 30 min in about 30 sec (figures, nothings in the file). I wonder if the file needs decryption by the mdapi...

I have now tried two versions of mdapi (2.2 and 2.6) and replaced acamd and they work well when watching TV. But the mdapi still is closed when recording (or timeshift) starts so there is nothing recorded (but the file is big).

That spin city recording wasnt on an encrypted channel according to the tuning information, so it didnt use multidec.

Do you think that channel is FTA or encrypted? If its really encrypted, then it sounds like you need to rescan and remap that channel so that the app knows its encrypted.

TV3 is definitely an encrypted channel, and the multidec where used before the recording started.

I have tried this on three or four encrypted channels, with the same result.
Come to think of it, I did a rescan a couple of days ago because we have a new channel. But I had to add the channel manually and then map it myself (it where found but the list didn't get populated with it).

Could there be some errors in the db? So I should drop it and create a new?
