A couple of problems:

First of all, ComSkip is not processing all of my files. It only processed, for example, 9 out of the last 21 recordings.

Also, over the last few days, GBPVR has started converting all MPG recordings to AVI's even though I have it set to "No processing".

Most recent logs attached.

If you tell me what time one of those recordings completed, and its name, I'll check your logs to see if the app was running it.

I cant see any sign in your logs of GB-PVR doing that. Are you sure you havent installed any third party utilities that are doing this?

The O'Reilly Factor on 8th & 9th from 8 to 9 pm
Hannity & Colmes on 8th & 9th from 9 to 10 pm

On both days O'Reilly was ComSkipped and Hannity was not. So, ComSkip likes O'Reilly better? :-)

I have been playing around with Tversity (couldn't get it to work) and Orb (worked but had problems) to stream my recordings via the web. Neither should be automatically transcoding the files, though. How can I tell what's doing the transcoding?

Can you zip and attach your PostProcessing.bat file?

Here are 2 files: postprocessing.bat and PostProcessing.bat.txt. I don't know what to make of them or how things got changed. Postprocessing.bat is an old file, so it had to be copied from somewhere, and PostProcessing.bat was renamed. If I did this, or caused it to happen, I don't know how or when.

Seems to me that ComSkip shouldn't be working at all.

By default GB-PVR doesnt have any PostProcessing.bat file. You've got one, and it has commands to convert recordings to avi files. If you have a PostProcessing.bat, then GB-PVR expects you to manually run comskip from from the batch file, and will not attempt to run it itself.

ComSkip was working before a few days ago. It still works on about half the recordings, although I don't know why. So something is calling it sometimes.

As for now, I'll just rename the postprocessing.bat file until I figure out where the files came from. I guess ComSkip should work then all of the time.

What mystifies me about this file, though, is that it is a 2005 file and, therefore, must have been copied from somewhere. Anyway, don't guess it matters, as I know what to do.

I doubt it. I cant only see PostProcessing.bat being run, not comskip, which is exactly what I'd expect. If it started a few days ago, it probably meant you've created/installed this PostProcessing.bat in the last few days.

Yep.
