Thank you sub for everything you do. You have really put together a top notch product.

My problem. I have chosen a digital line up from schedules direct. When the sub-channels show up in the guide, they show up funny. For example, 11-2 shows up as 45 , 6-2 shows up as 46. I have emptied the epg numerous times and reloaded. I also did a complete reinstall. (wiped the directory).

Similar but separate problem. I am using the Haupp. blaster and I have everything setup, except I can't access the -2 -3 sub-channels. I used the haupp config, but it won't let me send the dash between the numbers. Everything else works fine. All of the main -1 channels work fine. Probably because they can be addressed without sending a -1.

Appreciate suggestions.

I am running 1.3.7, with two MVP, Laptop and PC client. OTA digital received into a RCA digital tuner for analog TVs($40 coupon). I record using PVR150 and control the box with the Haupp. blaster. I am using the box to downgrade the HD/digital signal to analog because the server doesn't have the horsepower and I don't have the time to re-encode. Yes I know the quality suffers, but Digital -> Analog -> Digital still looks better than analog from my antenna.

I am hoping someone has already figured out both these problems, but i haven't been able to find it after searching the archives.

Thanks again everyone.

Sorry, GB-PVR has no concept of major/minor numbers. This is a north america-ism, not used in the rest of the world (including here in NZ).

For those that use digital tuners, you can still get all the subchannels, but they'll be allocated some unique channel number (no dashes etc).

There is nothing built into GB-PVR to send dashes to a set top box via the IR Blaster. Infact, the interface Hauppauge provide me to control the IR Blaster doesnt support dashes either - it only takes a channel number.

tossing out an idea, you'd have to work out the details:

Write your own channel changer batch file that takes the gb-pvr channel number as input, and then sends the appropriate commands to the blaster. For example, for the two channels you mentioned, then it would be something like this:

Code:
goto %1
:2
:4
:5
:6
:10
:11
blast %1
goto end
:45
blast 11
blast channel up
goto end
:46
blast 6
blast channel up
goto end
:end

The idea here is that first, for any of the normal channels you just fall down to the first blast and blast the channel number directly and then end. AFTER labels for EVERY normal channel, you have the special ones. With those, the first blast gets you the base channel, the second goes up one to get to the first sub (staying with the assumption that there's no way to blast the needed '-' directly)

Now, I am presuming that you do have some way to call the blast program (whatever it is, I just used 'blast' as an example) from a batch file like I have done.

You would then use this 'changer.bat' as your channel changer for that capture source instead of the ir blaster setting. You would of course have to carefully update your changer.bat to exactly match your gb-pvr channel list, as the batch file will simply error out if it gets called with a channel number that isn't handled.
