Thanks for the suggestion, but it didn't make any difference. I also tried turning off SPDIF and using line-out, but no change. I get audio fine when playing the recorded files with VLC.

An interesting side note, files recorded with multi-record have scrambled video when played with VLC, and it crashes a few seconds in. Older recordings made without multi-record play file in VLC.

Any more thoughts?

I havnt seen that here. What channel were you recordings, and was it DVB-T or DVB-S?

Quote:It seems that the Builtin TSReader does not relinquish the audio filter when changing channels. e.g. the ffdshow or AC3filter Icon remains after changing off of the digital channel or ending TV view, no problem with the Analog broadcast. (MPEG Mux) Having this filter open keeps my SPDIF connection open and causes all other audio to fail until I close and re-open PVRX2.

Looks to only happen if I use Live Preview Mode...But of course going to non-LivePreview mode causes other failures.
TSReader isnt used when you're doing live preview tv, so it wont be that.

DVB-T (Nova 500-T)

So, I just tried recording channels 1,2,3, and 4 simultaneously (got about 40 seconds of each). I only have a dual tuner, so it's definitely on multi-record.

Recordings from 1 and 2 play fine in VLC. However from 3 & 4, the videos is somewhat scrambled but the audio is fine for the 3 or 4 seconds before it crashes.

Played through PVRX2, video is fine in all cases, but no audio in all cases. Looking at the PVRX2.exe-native.log, I get three instances each of "Default Direct Sound Device" and "AC3Filter" in the graph. Should this be the case?

Thanks.

Hey,

AC3filter is being used for each audio stream. The TS reader connects up a decoder for each audio stream in the TS.
I solved my no sound issue by using Ac3filter only for AC3, and using Dscaler as my audio decoder.

Ac3 filter should be set to 'prefer other decoder' in the system tab.
As soon as I tried to have ffdshow or AC3 filter upsample my non-5.1 content, I got no sound again.
Also I set AC3lter back to directsond by default, and changed the rendereer type in the gbpvr config to directsound: realtek HD audio

Now I get sound for both the AAC channels, and TV3 gets the AC3 passed through.
So the tradeoff was I lose the ability to have all of my mpeg & aac files upsampled to dolby digital (I only use the amp to listen to my gbpvr system)

The thing I don't understand is, why is the TSReader connecting twice when my recorded file is a TS Mux, not Full TS. With a TS Mux haven't we selected only one specific video and audio track?

I do not have a problem watching the .ts files using Media Player Classic (Haali Splitter is the container demuxer).

Its always creating the three possible audio pin types, and hooking up to the decoders, so that when its doing live tv it can change to a channel with a different audio type without having to stop and restart everything.

Did this change in 1.3.11? Because I didn't have trouble in 1.3.7 playing back TS files through the Video Library or Recodings.
