Does it work with the keyboard (Ctrl-RightArrow)?

will try changing '/settings/DirectlyHandleMCESkip : true' to false, but if it doesn't work with the keyboard, then this won't make a difference?

I dont really have any ideas. I have double checked here to make sure skipping is working during DVD playback. Seem to work for me.

In your logs, it definitely looks like its trying to skip:

Quote:2009-01-21 22:05:36.995 VERBOSE [1] Skipping forward: 0
2009-01-21 22:05:36.997 VERBOSE [1] Current duration: 203 Current position: 14 New position: 74

2009-01-21 22:05:38.041 VERBOSE [1] Current duration: 203 Current position: 15 New position: 75
2009-01-21 22:05:38.552 VERBOSE [1] Skipping forward: 0
2009-01-21 22:05:38.553 VERBOSE [1] Current duration: 203 Current position: 16 New position: 76
2009-01-21 22:05:39.063 VERBOSE [1] Skipping forward: 0
2009-01-21 22:05:39.063 VERBOSE [1] Current duration: 203 Current position: 16 New position: 76
2009-01-21 22:05:39.443 VERBOSE [1] Skipping forward: 0
2009-01-21 22:05:39.443 VERBOSE [1] Current duration: 203 Current position: 17 New position: 77

Ignore the "Skipping forward: 0". "0" is a special case value that means "skip the default seconds" aka "60". I do notice thats a particularly short title, 203 seconds, which makes me think it was in one of the intro sections that disallows skipping?

it is a short section which can be skipped on my dvd player (kids film with loads of annoying ads before it starts). in the movie itself, there's no skipping either.

i'll try another dvd and see if it's that - also if it works with powerdvd or something.

thanks for time and efforts, as always..

In this case GB-PVR is asking it to skip, but the DVD Navigator is ignoring the request. You could try another DVD Navigator.
