I am using 1.3.11 and I am trying to change the priority of my recordings. I'm using the FF/REW buttons, but all they are doing is moving the highlighted selection to the one before or after the recording I am trying to change the priority of.

This was working in 1.3.8 for me, so I don't know why it stopped.

Any ideas?

I'm out of ideas myself, so maybe I can change the priority in the database directly.

Anyone know what column I need to change in order to move priorities around? There is a priority column, but mine has all my recordings set to 0.

Hi scb147,

Because all the priorities are set to 0 (or maybe even NULL), GBPVR doesn't know what the next priority should be to move it up to, so nothing can really move.

In your database, open the RECORDING_SCHEDULE table, and manually modify the priority for each row where the status is 4 (this is the recurring recordings). Number them from 1 to the max number of recordings. Then restart your recording service (for good measure), and give it another try. I think you should be able to reorder them then.

Of course, you should back up db3 file before attempting this, just in case Wink

EDIT: I think this happens as a result of exporting your recordings from an old version of GBPVR and importing them into a new version. I don't think they automatically update their recording priority when they are imported back into GBPVR. Might this have been the scenario with your update from 1.3.7 to 1.3.11?

Thanks Babbage, I did import my recordings from 1.3.7 to 1.3.11. So what you are saying makes sense. I will backup my database and edit the priority column.

Editing the database directly has fixed it. I numbered the reoccuring recordings from 0 to X and they now can be moved around using the FF/REW buttons as before.

Question for sub, should GBPVR autofill the priorities with dummy numbers so the user can move them around without editing the database directly? Or at least when you export the recordings, keep track of the priorities so when you import them again they have a priority?

Another thing I've noticed with imported recordings is that sometimes I can't "update" the recording. The popup screen semi-disappears and the update screen never shows up. Doesn't do this with all imported recordings, just some of them.

Glad to hear it worked!

This is because there is some information missing in the REOCURRING_EXTRAS table, possibly because you imported the recurring recordings. If you add the information back in there (which may be difficult to do without understanding how the various masks work), you should be able to update those recurring recording.

Why do some of the imported recordings get this information, and others don't then?

It's not a huge deal, I can easily delete the recording and set it up again...

I wish I could tell ya. The only reason I know that adjusting the REOCURRING_EXTRAS table works is from attempting to fix my own problems with un-updateable recordings...
