What is Device Number in DVB-t setup used for?

I have a single tuner card and a dual usb tuner. Should 'device number' be set to 1,2,3 respectively or 1,1,2?

what are the tuners?
the numbers go up if the driver used is the same
so i would guess for your single card it would be #1
but for your dual card the numbers are #1 and #2
