I'm not sure when it stopped working - it used to work. I typically don't watch live tv, only recordings. When I enter on live tv, PVRX2 freezes for several seconds on the main menu, then returns to normal menu operation, but never displays tv. Any help appreciated. Logs attached. XP sp3, .net3 sp1, recently updated to 1.3.11, but it didn't work before the update.

Thanks

In those logs it looks like either the recording service wasnt running, or you have some firewall or antivirus software getting in the way of communication.

Thanks. I disabled antivirus (nod32), windows firewall isn't on, disabled CyberSitter (Internet content filter). Still same result. Logs attached.

Thanks

Is GBPVRRecordingService.exe in the list of running processes?

Yes, I can record and watch shows, it's just live TV that is not working.

To be honest, I dont know. I suspect its something to do with either Nod32 or cyberSitter. People have had problems in the past with thinking their firewall/antivirus was disabled, but found it started working when they uninstalled these other apps that monitor network connections.

When I click on the GVPVR icon in the sys tray, it takes from 1 to several minutes for the context menu to pop up. Then when I click on "show status", it takes several more seconds-minutes for the status window to pop up. When it does, it shows capture source #1 throuth #8, all on tuner 1. I only have one tuner card installed, and two sources defined, one for the tuner for analog cable, and one for the s-video input for digital cable from an STB. Why does it show 8 capture sources? Screen shot attached.

Thats the normal behaviour you'd get if it cant talk to the recording service.

OK, latest update: Uninstalled Nod32 and rebooted, no change. Uninstalled CyberSitter and rebooted, live TV working again. Thanks! Sorry to be a pain, but now I have a new problem. When I go into the Recordings, none of my previous recordings exist anymore. Can I get them back? Logs attached. I don't know if it's related, but when I reboot, Windows gives me a file open error window after restarting. There is no file name or indication where the error is coming from. Just a file open error with an "OK" button.

Thanks

Try using the 'Import Recordings' button to impory the recordings-dump.xml file from the gbpvr directory.
