Scheduled recordings just don't seem record at all. I changed my DVB-T cards for a DVB-S HVR3000 and all was working sweet until I installed a Nova S, then recordings stopped recording for some recordings. I had a play and uninstalled and reinstalled all drivers and also gbpvr and now all recordings fail. Please find attached my logs. I have no other TV apps using the cards and I know GBPVR can use them as they work in config when tuning channels just fine.

Does a file get created in the recording directory? For example, C:\Temp\Lost\Lost_20090211_20302230-2-2.ts. How big is this file?

Ohhh, not too sure, it did create the directory for the recording but not totally sure if a file is created or not, will have a look tonight when I get home.

The recording shows in TV guide as recording and if I try to play it I get a black screen for a few seconds then it goes back to the tv guide menu.

Will get back to you shortly. Thanks sub.

Yes a file is created but it is 0kb. One of my tuners recorded a show (the HVR 3000) but the other Nova S still fails to record. Would it maybe be a driver issue, although I used the CD that came with the card and the gbpvr tuning seems to work fine. Any ideas?

I may be totally wrong here but if the Dvb-S part of the HVR3000 & Nova S use the same drivers they would need to be setup as device#1 & device#2......but as I said I have no idea if they use the same drivers or not.

I made that change as suggested last night and then recorded two shows at the same time and they both recorded fine. I then got home today and went to watch some newly recorded shows and about 5 out of 6 failed and wont play (when I say 'failed' they don't show in recordings as failed I just mean they don't play). Any other ideas? Thanks.

I guess the question is did a file get created in the recording directory? If it did I have no idea what is going on but sub may be able to help. Also have you applied all the patches from the survival guide? Other people seem to have been having similar problems recently that sub has written a patch to fix.

Yes it creates a 0kb file in the directory. I am pretty sure I checked I was on the latest version and check for patches etc but I will recheck once at home again. Cheers.
