I have downloaded and installed 'Community3x.exe' and 'SkinPlugin3.2.2.Setup.exe'
I have the new skin working as default in PVRX2 (and it looks great!)

When I launch the config utility, on the plugin tab I see 'Skin' is checked - but do not see any options to be able to configure it. I am missing something?

The install order is the SkinPlugin then CommunitySkin. Then, you run gbpvr (pvr2.exe), and you will see "Skin" as an option on screen.

so should I uninstall each, reboot and start over in correct order?

is pvr2.exe the same as PVRX2.exe?

BTW - I see 'skin' as a checked option, but when I select it, the 'settings' button is still disabled.

No, you don't have to delete anything. The CommunitySkin has updated files for the Skinplugin, that is all. No need to reboot.

Yes, PVRX2.exe is what I should have typed.

There is nothing in the config.exe program to set for the Skin plugin. All skin mods are done via. the GB-PVR interface. "Skin" will show up as a menu item (Like TV Guide, Video Library, ect.)

The thumbnails need to be present on your system. This is not a function of the skin to create them. The thumbnails need to be present in the folder as folder.jpg or WhateverFileName.jpg

A good set of utilities to help with this are found here:
http://gbpvr.com/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Utility/WizUtilities

WizMetadataGrabber is one worth looking at.

To change the background, using the skin plugin, select: Edit current theme. Select your background and press <Ctrl-p> or press play on your remote.

How do I gain access to the skin plugin? There is no option in GBPVR menus.
If I go to the plugin tab of conig app that runs in system tray, I can not edit the settings there either.

Ok, we may be assuming we understand each other and I am not sure we do. Here are some step by step instructions.

1) run config.exe
2) select the Plugins tab
3) Verify "Skin" shows up in the Menu and Plugins box.
4) Verify there is a check mark next to it as well. (Make sure Plugins enabled is checked).
5) Select OK at bottom of config.exe, not cancel, to make sure menu task is enabled.
6) Run PVRX2.exe and you should see "Skin" as a menu option.
7) Select Skin from PVRX2 menu and you should see screen shots like this.
http://gbpvr.com/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Plugin/SkinPlugin

If you are not getting this, post your logs and I will see if something is wrong with the install.

Step 1-5 - check

On 6 - there is no 'skin' option in the PVRX2 menu.
I have attached (all) my logs (sorry - I'm a noob and do not know which one(s) you specifically need.

Thank you
