This weekend, I started having problems recording analog. Live TV plays fine and this tuner also works in Media Center. Firewall has pvrx2 and recording service allowed. The logs show:
Quote:2009-02-17 18:18:17.171 ERROR [5] Error starting recording: System.UnauthorizedAccessException: Access to the path 'L:\Video\Eyewitness News' is denied.

2009-02-17 18:18:17.421 VERBOSE [5] Save(): Updated existing scheduled recording
Not quite sure what the error is saying. Since installing beta W7, I've always had my recordings going to my L:\Video folder. Could this be a sharing problem? I've got plenty of space. What gives?

Its permissions related. GB-PVR is trying to create a directory in your ''L:\Video" directory and getting 'access denied'.

I honestly don't know what could have changed anything except a possible Windows Update. I've got full permissions, added sharing, and UAC turned off and still it refuses to let me record there. If I just record to the L drive directly, it works fine.
I can live with this but it's the curiosity the kills me.

I assume L: drive is some network drive? Maybe temporarily try a local drive to double check.

Windows 7 has something called 'Homegroup' where W7 computers can share just about everything. However, that partition is not part of the Homegroup. In the same partition, I just added a 'Recorded TV' folder and it works fine. It's obviously something I've overlooked but nothing I've changed as I only use that drive for recorded tv.
Thanks for your help.

Sorry, its hard for me to guess whats happened, but from the error message that definitely seems to be the cause.
